Looks like first time helmer Destin Cretton has made himself a doozy of a little film. The fine folk over at EW even going so far as to proclaim it a “sleeper hit”.
Sounds a bold prediction, but maybe they’re on to something. Rings staunchly of a “you’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll tell all your friends about it” type film.
But, those festival wins don’t always add up to audience love. Just have to see what marketing does with it. I’m rooting for them. Read the full story over at EW.
