Oh, when the rich and newly famous go duke it out in our beloved court system.
Apparently the dispute revolves around an oral contract that was entered into prior to Ms. Margulies’ star ascension, with a little bit of legal maneuvering in whether the venue for trial should be in NY or LA.
Marguiles’ attorney attempts to claim a minor victory in the fact that the judge made no ruling on the venue issue, but as best I can tell, Ms. Margulies is going to be duking it out in LA.
Smart people settle. Smarter ones write this stuff down beforehand. What’s the word I’m looking for? Oh, yeah…”contract”.
