Tis’ true, the avant-garde director that can weave a hell of an atmospheric film, but can’t ever seem to wrap the little buggers up without something silly in the mix, is also a musician. I remember having a smoke with him while we both happened to be at a post facility here in LA.
He was still casting for Lost Highway at the time and had propped a back door open with a shoe. His shoe. All I can say, is that, even with only one shoe and one sock, he’s the real deal and a genuine guy.
Never did get the guts to ask him about the dwarf.
